Congressman Paul A. Gosar has announced the commencement of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for middle and high school students in Arizona’s Ninth Congressional District. The registration for this annual competition is currently open.
The challenge aims to encourage student involvement in computer science and coding by inviting them to create applications, or “apps,” for mobile, tablet, or computer devices. Students can register and begin working on their apps immediately, with a submission deadline set for October 30, 2025.
Initiated by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, this national effort has engaged over 40,000 students from all states to participate in coding activities. The winner from each congressional district will be selected by a panel of expert judges. Winning entries will be featured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us and displayed at the U.S. Capitol for one year.
For additional details or inquiries, participants are encouraged to visit the official website of the Congressional App Challenge or contact Penny Pew via email at penny.pew@mail.house.gov.
