Mohave County announced on May 18 that it has issued a 90-day notice to all active voters regarding deadlines and requirements for selecting a political party ballot in the upcoming election cycle.

This information is important because Arizona recognizes five political parties: No Labels, Republican, Democratic, Libertarian, and Green. Voters registered as Independent, Party Not Designated, or Other may request a political party ballot if an open primary is available.

For the 2026 Primary Election, the Republican, Democratic, and No Labels parties will hold open primaries. This means eligible voters can participate in those contests under Arizona election law and party rules. Once voters complete and return their party selection notice or ballot request form with their signature, their choice is final for that election cycle. They will not be able to request a different party’s ballot after submission.

Mohave County urges all voters to review their selections carefully before submitting completed forms to ensure accuracy and avoid delays or limitations in accessing ballots.

Residents with questions are encouraged to contact the Mohave County Recorder’s Office Voter Registration Division at 700 W. Beale Street in Kingman or by phone at (928) 753-0767. Voters can also check their registration status online at My.Arizona.Vote and follow updates on Facebook (Mohave County AZ Voter Registration) or Instagram (@VoteMohave).
