U.S. Representative Paul Gosar released his weekly newsletter on April 6, covering topics ranging from Easter reflections to recent economic and community developments. Gosar addressed constituents of Arizona’s 9th Congressional District with updates on national issues and local activities.

Gosar opened the newsletter by marking Easter Sunday as a time for faith and renewal. He wrote, “As we celebrate this blessed Easter Sunday, we are reminded of the enduring promise of hope, redemption, and new life through the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” He wished readers a joyful holiday season.

The newsletter highlighted a recent U.S. jobs report that showed an addition of 178,000 jobs in March. Gosar attributed this increase to pro-growth policies led by President Trump and Republicans in Congress. He described the results as evidence of renewed strength across key industries after years marked by inflation and stagnant growth.

Gosar also celebrated the Artemis II mission launch as a milestone for American space exploration. He said it marked “a bold return to deep space exploration” with astronauts traveling farther than ever before around the moon during their ten-day journey.

Turning to state politics, Gosar criticized Arizona Governor Hobbs’ veto of legislation honoring Charlie Kirk. He called it “a disgraceful display of partisan bias,” saying it denied recognition to someone who inspired many young Americans.

The congressman discussed concerns about border security following reports that a Venezuelan national was charged with multiple murders in North Carolina after entering under current federal policies. Gosar blamed what he called open-border approaches for such incidents.

He recapped his district work period activities including attending local events like the Yuma County Fair and visiting law enforcement recruits at Arizona Western College Law Enforcement Academy in Yuma. He emphasized staying connected with constituents: “Returning home each week from the Swamp isn’t just a duty—it’s essential.”

Gosar has represented Arizona’s 9th District since 2011 after replacing Ann Kirkpatrick according to Ballotpedia. In recent elections he defeated Quacy Smith in 2024 with over sixty-five percent of votes according to Ballotpedia and Richard Grayson in 2022 as reported by Ballotpedia. Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958, Gosar is now sixty-four years old and lives in Bullhead City according to Biographical Directory. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University in 1981 as noted by Congress.gov.

The newsletter concluded with photos submitted by constituents along with links to news stories featuring or mentioning Rep. Gosar.
