Lake Havasu City won't see an increase in city property tax rate for the upcoming fiscal year, The Bee reported.

While the rate will be the same, there is expected to be an increase in total property taxes collected, because of the increased property values in the city, according to The Bee. But the changes will be little or not at all. An estimated increase for a property owner with a $100,00 house would be approximately $2.76.

Property taxes go toward the local government, schools, the county, community colleges and taxing districts. Of taxes paid, only 6.7 cents for each dollar goes to the city. The rest goes toward the other areas, according to The Bee.

A meeting was held on June 23 for the property tax for the next fiscal year. For those who missed the meeting, more information on the tax can be found on the city's website or by emailing Jill Olsen, Lake Havasu City Administrative Services director, at olsenjr@lhcaz.gov.
