With all the bad news associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of the economy, the Kingman Logistics Center has produced a shining ray of optimism.
Formerly known as Knauf Insulation, the rail-served property offers 620,000 square feet of industrial and distribution space which fit the needs of Shelves West, LLC. The American plastics company is undergoing an expansion, moving into 100,000 square feet. The move will result in an investment of $10.5 million and add 20 employees over the next 200 months, the City of Kingman press release reported.
Shelves West has made an investment in new equipment and expanded its plastic injection molding production necessitating the move to the facility at the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park, the press release reported.
“Given the issues with COVID-19 over the last six months, it is refreshing to see continued capital investment and new employment opportunities within the Kingman Airport Industrial Park,” Bennett Bratley, economic development manager, said according to the press release.
