BULLHEAD CITY, ARIZONA: Colorado River level will be at 1 unit

River

Bullhead City, Arizona issued the following announcement on Dec. 22

The City of Bullhead City would like to remind all residents that the Colorado River level will be at 1 unit (4600 CFS or lower) Monday, December 21 through Wednesday, December 23. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the low river levels during these three days to do maintenance on their own property and docks.

The City of Bullhead City will also be doing general maintenance on park launches, docks and other property during this time. If residents would like to help clean up City beaches during these days, free trash bags will be available at Community Park and Rotary Park boat launch booths.

“We are excited to take advantage of this opportunity to improve the recreational experience for local and visitors enjoying the river next summer,”   Parks and Recreation Superintendent Dave Heath said. “We appreciate everyone who has helped clean our beaches and other river areas in the past. The river has never been cleaner. We can clean again December 21-23 and thank everyone who is willing to help keep our environment clean.”
