A Golden Valley couple has been found responsible for illegally dumping a single wide manufactured home on a dirt road south of Shipp Drive. Daniel Gould, 43, and Audree Gould, 37, were charged with criminal littering exceeding 300 pounds, which is a class 6 felony. On January 19th, 2022, E.R.A.C.E. (Environmental Rural Area Cleanup Enforcement) detectives were notified of an illegal dump site made up of a broken down and damaged single wide manufactured home that was abandoned in the roadway. Detectives were able to obtain evidence that led back to the Gould couple.
During the course of their investigation, detectives were able to contact Daniel Gould. Detectives reported that Gould did not admit that he dumped the home and he did not recover it after being issued a 5-day notice for the removal. A tow company was unable to respond due to the combined condition of the home and road. The Golden Valley Cactus Cleaners volunteer group removed trash pieces from the interior and E.R.A.C.E. paid the landfill cost. The shell of the mobile home remains for a future cleanup. The copy of the report was forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office with class 6 felony charges of illegal dumping.
Note: In addition to working police investigations and presenting prevention programs, Mohave County E.R.A.C.E. sponsors free community cleanup trash collection events in several locations around the county to help reduce illegal dumping. Individuals are asked to please call E.R.A.C.E. directly at (928)715-0480 if they have information on any illegal dumpsite or call Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at (928)753-0753 if they observe an illegal dumping in progress.
