Detective Dana Peterson joined the Lake Havasu City Police Department in November of 2017 after serving 5 years as a certified Law Enforcement Officer in Charlotte, North Carolina. In December of 2017, he received his Arizona Peace Officer Certification and was assigned to the Patrol Division where he served as a Field Training Officer.
In September of 2020, he was assigned to his current position with the Criminal Investigations Unit where his primary role is to conduct Financial Crimes and Arson investigations. He also serves as a firearms instructor, teaches Arson Investigation at the Western Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy, and is a member of the Department’s Drone Team.
