Gilbert, Ariz. - This Memorial Day, Gilbert will honor America's fallen military heroes with a free community event, tribute banners and water tower lighting.
All Gilbert municipal offices will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 29. Trash and recycling collection service schedules will not be impacted.
Memorial Day Ceremony
HD SOUTH and Gilbert are hosting a free Memorial Day ceremony from 8:30-10:00 AM at the Gilbert Civic Center on May 29.The event will feature a flag and wreath ceremony, POW/MIA table, performance from the National Guard band and more.

Military Tribute Banner Program
Military tribute banners have been hung along Gilbert Road in the downtown heritage district to honor our current and past service members. The banners feature the honoree’s photo, service branch, rank, service dates, family name and more.
The banners will be displayed through July 4th and again from mid-October to mid-November for Veterans Day.

Water Tower Lighting
The Gilbert Water Tower will be lit red, white and blue in observance of Memorial Day on May 29.Stop by the Water Tower Plaza anytime after sundown to observe the lights. Gilbert offers free parking throughout downtown.
