Aftershock: Reflecting on 50 Years of Future Shock with John Schroeter
John Schroeter, executive director of the Abundant World Institute, will discuss his new edited book After Shock, published on the 50th anniversary of Alvin Toffler’s bestselling Future Shock. Ed Finn, Cynthia Selin, Michael Bennett and Alexandrina Agloro will provide commentary and Dave Guston, director of the School for the Future of Innovation in Society (SFIS), will moderate. Reception with hors d’oeuvres and dessert to follow. The first 35 attendees will receive free copies of After Shock. This event is the first in the monthly series, 2020: A Year of Anticipation and Foresight, sponsored by SFIS, the Center for Science and Imagination and the Center for the Study of Futures.
