Beaver Dam High School issued the following announcement on Feb. 26

Announcements

Are you interested in earning college credit while you're still in high school?  If so, you will want to take advantage of the Start College Now program. The most popular class our students have taken is the Certified Nursing Assistant class but we've had many students take other classes or just get a head start on their college career. We will be having a meeting on Wednesday, February 26th at 3:20pm in Room 501 (Mr Slayton's room).  If you have any questions please stop by the Student Services Office and talk to your school counselor.

It is National FFA Week and the Beaver Dam FFA is having some dress up days to participate.  Each day one lucky student that dresses up will win a prize. So make sure to dress up in Outdoor Wear on Thursday and stop in room 163 during the day if dressed up to register for the prize.

Attention Juniors! The time of tonight's prom planning meeting has been moved to 6:15 PM in room 801. The meeting will last no longer than one hour, during which we will identify future meeting dates and times. If you have any interest in providing input on the theme, music, and venue for the May 2nd event, you're encouraged to attend.

Good morning Key Club members! We're capping off a busy month of February today, and our meeting during FlexTime will include some news about recent projects. We hope you're able to join us.

Students - Have you earned a goldenrod PRIDE Point this month?  Don't forget to turn them into the buckets in the office to win various prizes like Candy Bouquet, Packer drawstring bag, and Packer playing cards, Staff parking, and a Mystery drawing.  Turn in your PRIDE Points by the end of the month - Friday Feb 28th. Teachers - Don't forget to hand out your stack of PRIDE points this month. Celebrate and recognize students who are making Beaver Dam High School a great place to be!

Attention, anyone interested in playing football next year. There will be an open gym this Sunday night from 6-8 pm. These opportunities are valuable as we work to ring the bell. Contact Coach Linde with any questions.

Attention Wrestlers:  If you are planning on going to the Individual State Tournament on Thursday, please see or email Mr. Winker by the end of the day today to let him know that you are planning on going.  Tickets are $12.

Any junior guys interested in government and social studies, here is a life altering experience for you.  Badger Boys State is a week-long government simulation put on by the American Legion at Ripon College this June 13th through the 20th and is open to all junior boys.  In this summer camp, you will gain in-depth knowledge of how government works, meet lifelong friends, and give yourself scholarship opportunities. The camp is also paid for by area business and community groups, free for you to attend.  Interested students should see Mr. Loizzo for more information.

Congratulations to the boys hockey team for qualifying for the sectional final on Friday in Fond du Lac at 8pm.  The winner of this game heads to the state tournament. If you are interested in riding the free student fan bus, please sign up in the Activities and Athletics office by 12pm on Friday, February 28th.  When you sign up you will have to pay $6 for your ticket...again the bus ride is free. The bus will leave at 7pm from the staff parking lot in the front of the high school.
