Lake Havasu City is encouraging residents to avoid going out in public when possible as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase in the city and Mohave County, according to a city press release.
If residents need to leave their house, they should wear a face mask or covering and keep a distance from others. Gov. Doug Ducey asked all Arizonans to follow these steps and all others to help curb the spread of the virus, according to the press release.
Lake Havasu City Mayor Cal Sheehy is also asking everyone to stay safe to prevent the spread.
“I’m asking that we come together as a community and educate one another on the need to mask up. By working together we can slow the spread of the virus and safely continue to resume our activities and continue to reopen Lake Havasu City,” Sheehy said in the press release.
