Lake Havasu City has lifted its mask mandate that was issued to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
“Thank you to our citizens and visitors for your contributions, efforts and cooperation,” Lake Havasu City Mayor Cal Sheehy said in a post on the Lake Havasu City website. “Your efforts have resulted in lower cases and less COVID related hospitalizations. I encourage you to continue to take personal responsibility and make the best decisions for you and your family regarding our combined efforts to get this virus under control.”
The city’s website states that Mohave County has been experiencing a significant decline in both infection and hospitalization rates. While face coverings and masks are no longer required locally, some businesses may still require their usage and the State of Arizona requires them in places such as restaurants, theaters and gyms.
In addition to wearing face coverings or masks, individuals can contribute to the coronavirus’ downward trend by physically distancing themselves from others, practicing good hand hygiene and staying home when they are sick.
