City of Kingman issued the following announcement on Oct. 23
The closure time will be one day later than previous notification.
We have confirmed that the closure of both runways will occur next week. Runway 03/21 is currently closed and Runway 17/35 will be closed next week for approximately 72 hours. During the closure , the Airport will be restricted to only helicopter operations using established landing areas.
Both runways will be closed beginning at 0001(L) on 28 October 2020. We will reopen Runway 17/35 at approximately 0600(L) on 31 October 2020 Runway 03/21 will remain closed until approximately 09 November 2020.
When Runway 03/21 reopens, we will have temporary markings in place for approximately one month while the new asphalt completes curing. Another short closure will be necessary in December to complete the permanent markings. The December closure will be for about one work day for Runway 03/21 with a shorter duration at the same time for Runway 17/35 to facilitate striping through the runway intersection. The project team is doing a great job and the project is ahead of schedule.
