For the second time in his career, Arizona State senior point guard Remy Martin has been named to the District IX team by the United States Basketball Writers Association.

Martin led the PAC 12 in scoring this season, netting an average of 21.5 points in conference games and 19.1 overall. The 6-foot, 175 pound speedster currently ranks sixth on the Sun Devils’ all-time career scoring list (1,754), second in assists (466), 10th in field goals (591), third in free throws made (396), tied for tenth in 3-pointers (176) and eighth in steals (151).

During the 2018-19 season, Martin earned a second-team selection, making him the second Sun Devil player to earn All-PAC-12 honors at least three times, alongside former NBA veteran Ike Diogu (2003-05).

Martin capped his scintillating senior season with a league-best ten 20-point games, including a season-high 31-point explosion against Grand Canyon, highlighted by a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer in the Sun Devils’ 71-70 win over their crosstown rivals.

A native of Southern California, Martin was also named to the five-member Associated Press PAC-12 first team this season.

The 10-member USBWA District IX team consists of players from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Hawaii and Alaska, with Martin joining Stanford’s Oscar de Silva, USC’s Evan Mobley and Oregon’s Chris Duarte and Eugene Omoruyi as PAC-12 players named to the All-District team.

Rounding out the squad are Corey Kispert, Jalen Suggs and Drew Timme of Gonzaga, Matt Mitchell of San Diego State and Colbey Ross of Pepperdine, with Kispert was the Player of the Year and Gonzaga's Mark Few was Coach of the Year.
