Kingman Appoints Jack Yeager as New Kingman Fire Chief

City of Kingman issued the following announcement on Nov. 17.

The City of Kingman is pleased to announce the appointment and promotion of Assistant Chief Jack Yeager to Kingman Fire Chief beginning December 6, 2021. Acting Kingman Fire Chief Jake Rhoades has accepted a position in the City of Buckeye, Arizona.

Kingman City Manager Ron Foggin said, “I am pleased that Assistant Chief Jack Yeager has accepted the Kingman Fire Chief position. Jack has been an outstanding professional and leader in our organization for more than three years. He is dedicated to continuing the exceptional service the community expects from the Fire and Dispatch Departments.”

Kingman Fire Chief Jake Rhoades said, “I want to congratulate Jack on becoming the new chief for Kingman, and to carry on the legacy of a great department. Kingman is lucky to keep on such great talent that will continue to lead the department into the future.”

Jack Yeager is a 33-year veteran of the fire service. He has held every position in the fire service and is currently serving as the Assistant Fire Chief of Operations for the Kingman Fire Department. Jack is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Leadership and Administration program, Executive Planning, Financial Management, Incident Safety Officer, Health Safety Officer and Leadership I, II, III.  He holds many certifications like Firefighter I/II Instructor/Evaluator, ASFM and ICC Fire Inspector I/II, FEMA/National Incident Command system 100,200,300,400,700,800, Blue Card Incident Command Certification, Emergency Operations Manager, SERTC- Hazardous Materials Incident Commander.
