Public Hearing on Proposed Rate Increases

City of Bullhead City issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.

The Arizona Corporation Commission has requested that Bullhead City and other interested parties share information about an upcoming public hearing in which EPCOR has proposed rate increases and consolidation of its water districts in Arizona. The Corporation Commission will be taking telephonic public comments regarding the rate increases and consolidation on Monday, January 10, 2022, beginning at 9 a.m., and ending at 11 a.m., or when the last caller is finished speaking, whichever comes first. Members of the public may participate in the telephonic public comment meeting by calling 1-866-705-2554 and entering code 241497#. A three-minute time limit will be imposed for each speaker.

Docket No. WS-01303A-20-0177 - EPCOR Water Arizona Inc. recently filed with the Arizona Corporation Commission an application for a determination of the fair value of its plant and property used to provide water utility service to its Agua Fria, Anthem, Chaparral, Havasu/Brooke, Mohave, North Mohave, Paradise Valley, Sun City, Sun City West, Tubac and Willow Valley water districts; for increases in its rates and charges for such water utility service; and for consideration of consolidating some, all, or none of its water districts. A corrected Recommended Opinion and Order in this matter was docketed on November 26, 2021. The rate increase and consolidation application will be considered by the Arizona Corporation Commission at its meeting on January 11, item 19, during the meeting. Again, the Commission wants all EPCOR water users to understand the public hearing on this matter is Monday, January 10 starting at 9 a.m. Visit the Arizona Corporation Commission website to review the agendas, nearly 6,000 page application and numerous corresponding documents.
