Interstate Group, LLC Expands Manufacturing Facility at Kingman Industrial Park

City of Kingman issued the following announcement on Jan. 24.

Interstate Group, LLC is expanding its presence at the Kingman Industrial Park, with the addition of another 21,000 sq. ft. building to their current site located at 4400 Interstate Way. To accommodate the needs of this expansion, the City of Kingman Economic Development department worked with Interstate Trailers to sell them city owned property next to their site. The land sale proceeds from this sale will be reinvested back into the Kingman Municipal Airport. 

Interstate builds trailers, dump trailers, utility trailers and car hauling trailers. They have more than 74 locations across the country and over 7400 trailers available nationwide. They are also the largest independent trailer dealership in the USA. Their retail location in Kingman, AZ is located at 2627 E. Beverly Ave.

Casey Fillion, Corporate Safety Manager said, “The expansion of this facility, will greatly increase our productivity. Interstate will invest upwards of two million dollars into this project and hire 20 new employees. Currently Interstate trailers employs 140 employees at the Kingman Industrial Park.” Fillion also said, “There used to be a lot of vacant land at the Industrial Park but now it’s so good to see all the new businesses and the growth that’s happening.”

Bennett Bratley, Kingman Industrial Park Manger stated, “The City of Kingman is always happy to assist businesses when they want to expand their facilities. The Economic Development team has been working with numerous companies that have shown interest in expanding and locating their businesses here. This is due to our growing workforce, available building inventory, and the low cost of doing business in Kingman. These components are why companies are choosing to locate here.” 

Bennett Bratley said, “The City of Kingman Economic Development team works closely with Mohave County Development Services, the Mohave County Economic Development Department, and the Mohave County Workforce department to help companies like the Interstate Group meet their goals of expanding their facilities within their anticipated timelines.”
