The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 119 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported sinceWednesday, April 27, 2022 at noon. There are also 13 deaths reported. (NOTE: Our reports take place twice a month on Wednesdays.) Deaths are counted by the week of diagnosis and deaths by month may increase as there is often a lag between when a death occurs and when it is reported.) For the 4th week in a row, the CDC reports COVID-19 transmission levels to be low, which is on trend with state and national levels.
There is a small increase in New Cases: Mohave County had 119 new confirmed cases since the last published report on April 27. 14-day average of approximately 8.5 new confirmed cases per day.
2. Community Transmission Rate is Low • For the 8th week in a row the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has categorized COVID-19 transmission level as low in Mohave County. This is on-trend with state and national levels.
Age Distribution of Deaths:
Of the 13 newly reported deaths since the last report published on April 27, the largest percentage of deaths came from the 80-89 age group and 50-59 age group both with 31%.
