The Bullhead Recreation Division is proud to announce the Bullhead City Farmers Market returns for the 2022/2023 season on Saturday October 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Community Park. Vendors will be open from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The new season features 6 themed market events beginning with the Pumpkin-Patch themed Market on the first Saturday of October.
Residents and Famers Market enthusiasts are encouraged to mark their calendars for this unique outdoor event. The farmers market brings the best local farm-fresh produce, artisans, home baked goods, novelties, local food trucks, and live entertainment to one place. The Pumpkin-Patch Market will feature open Cornhole from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., and live music entertainment performed by 50 Shades of Rock from noon – 3 p.m. The Bullhead City Animal Shelter will host a Halloween pet costume contest at the market. Contestants will compete for trophies in categories of, “Most Creative,” “Funniest,” and “Best Owner/Pet Combo.” Participants must supply $10 of petfood or $10 to enter; proceeds benefit the Bullhead City Animal Shelter.
There’s still time and space for vendors to register to participate in the Pumpkin-Patch Market. Community Park has enough room to accommodate one hundred and twenty vendors. The Recreation Division encourages vendors to register quickly. Spaces do routinely fill up for this coveted event.
“We’ve had over 5,000 people attend previous markets,” said Recreation Supervisor Claire Adams. “If vendors wait too long to register, there might not be a space left for them.”
Vendor spaces cost twenty-five dollars for ten square feet. Vendors can register online at BullheadCityFarmersMarket.com.
The City of Bullhead is working hard to expand the farmers market offerings each month and is actively looking for community support to offset costs.
“We have some amazing ideas for this year’s season,” said sponsorship coordinator Jackie Jensen. “We just need the right partner(s) to reach out and help us bring those ideas to life.”
Jensen is seeking sponsorships staring at $1,000.00 for all 6 farmers market events. Businesses looking for great causes to contribute to, or unique ways to advertise, are encouraged to contact Jensen at (928) 763-9400 x 8246 or by email at jjensen@bullheadcityaz.gov.
