The Lake Havasu City Police Department would like to congratulate Lieutenant Frank Hayden on his 15 years of continued service with the department.

Lieutenant Hayden joined the LHCPD in 2007 and is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Western Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy (WALETA). During his 15-year career, Lt. Hayden has served in Patrol and the Street Crimes Unit and as a firearms instructor. In 2015 he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and served as a supervisor in the Patrol Division and the Professional Standards Unit. Lt. Hayden also served as the class supervisor at WALETA for 3 years. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2021 and is currently serving as the Patrol Day Watch Commander.

Lt. Hayden has been a member of the department's SWAT team for 8 years and a Public Safety Bomb Technician for 5 years. He is currently the commander of both the SWAT team and the Bomb Squad.

Prior to his law enforcement career, Lt. Hayden spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry rifleman and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He holds a Master of Arts degree in English and a Master of Public Administration from National University.

Lt. Hayden has lived in Lake Havasu City for over 25 years and graduated from Lake Havasu High School in 2003. He has been married to his wife Alicia for 18 years and their 3 children were born and raised here in Lake Havasu City.
