On October 8th, 2022, the Meadview Neighborhood Watch program joined forces with local law enforcement agencies to promote off-highway vehicle (OHV) safety on public lands surrounding the Meadview area. The effort was in response to numerous citizen complaints regarding irresponsible off-road vehicle operation in desert washes around the community.
A combined presence was conducted with representatives from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Park Service (NPS) Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD), Mohave County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), Meadview Ridge Riders ATV Club, and roughly twelve outstanding citizens from the Meadview community. During the operation, over 100 OHV brochures were distributed to the public, in addition to noting signage improvements that could be made to benefit OHV use throughout the area.
