Mohave County’s districts student body comprised mostly of white students in 2021-22 school year

The majority of students in Mohave County districts were white in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Of the 23,545 students attending school districts within Mohave County, 62.5% were white. Latino students were the second largest ethnicity in Mohave County districts (29.1%).

In the previous school year, white students still were the most common group in Mohave County districts, representing 62.2% of the student body.

Kingman Unified School District had the most even distribution of races among county districts, which included 48.8% Latino students, 43.4% white students, 4.4% Multi-racial or non-Hispanic students, 1.6% African American students, 1% Asian students, and 0.6% American Indian or Alaskan Native students.

In the 2021-22 school year, the total number of students enrolled in school districts in the county increased 5.8% when compared to the previous year.

The main offices of all districts mentioned in the story are located in cities associated with Mohave County.
