Kingman Unified School District had the highest enrollment among Mohave County districts, welcoming 7,177 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 48.5% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 63.1% of the Kingman Unified School District total enrollment.

Among the 13 districts in Mohave County, Lake Havasu Unified District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 5,154 students, while Bullhead City School District welcomed 2,321 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Kingman Unified School District roughly covers schools within Mohave County and has a main office in Kingman.

In the previous school year, Kingman Unified School District also had the highest number of students among Mohave County districts.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students' school performance.
