Enrollment at Mohave Valley Elementary District schools increased by 3.9% compared to previous school year

There were 1,199 students enrolled in Mohave Valley Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.9% more than the 1,154 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54% of them were boys, and 46% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 54.3% of the Mohave Valley Elementary District total enrollment.

Mohave Valley Elementary District roughly covers schools within Mohave County and has a main office in Mohave Valley.

Among the four schools in Mohave Valley Elementary District, Mohave Valley Junior High School recorded the highest enrollment of 448 students in the 2022-23 school year.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.
