The inaugural Tempe Veterans Chili Championship hosted by City of Tempe Veteran Services and Valors Veterans Community AZ will bring together the community for a day of good food, football, friendly competition and giving back for a good cause.
The cookoff will be held Saturday, Dec. 9 at El Jefe Tacos and Sushi Tempe, 2155 E. University Dr. The contest begins at 11 a.m. with awards given at halftime of the Army vs. Navy college football game, which kicks off at 1 p.m.
Each $30 ticket gets you access to try and judge all the chili, as well as a taco buffet and t-shirt. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
