City of Chandler Announces Holiday Service Schedule

The City of Chandler in Arizona has announced its holiday service schedule for the upcoming Christmas and New Year's holidays. City offices will be closed on December 25, 2023, and January 1, 2024. However, limited services will be available from December 26 to 29.

According to the city's announcement, city administrative offices will be closed on both December 25 and January 1. The Utility Services and Sales Tax office will also be closed on these dates. However, staff will be available to assist customers by phone or in person from December 26 to 29.

The City Clerk's office will not be available for passport appointments from December 25 to January 1. Residents are advised to schedule a future appointment if needed.

Trash and recycling collection will be affected by the holidays. There will be no collection on Christmas Day and New Year's Day, which both fall on Mondays this year. Containers will be collected one day later through Saturday for these two weeks.

The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center (RSWCC) will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1. The RSWCC is also closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays year-round.

Several recreational facilities in Chandler will have adjusted schedules during the holiday period. Lap swimming will not be held at Desert Oasis, Nozomi, and Hamilton Aquatic Centers from December 23 to January 7. Arrowhead Pool, Folley Pool, and Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center will be closed for the season.

Chandler Public Libraries will have modified hours. They will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1. From December 26 to 29, the libraries will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On December 30, the Downtown and Sunset branches will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Basha branch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Hamilton branch from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Tumbleweed Recreation Center will have adjusted hours, with closures on December 24, 25, and January 1. From December 26 to 29, it will be open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Chandler Tennis Center will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1. From December 26 to 28, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The Chandler Nature Center will be open for camps held at this location, but closed to the general public on December 24, 25, and January 1. From December 26 to 29, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Snedigar Recreation Center will be closed to the general public but open for camps from December 26 to 30, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Community Center and Senior Center will be closed on December 23, 24, 25, and January 1. From December 26 to 29, they will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Chandler Museum will be closed on December 24, 25, and from December 29 to 31. However, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from December 26 to 28.

The box office at the Center for the Arts will be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1. From December 26 to 29, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Vision Gallery will be closed on December 24, 25, and from December 30 to January 1. From December 26 to 29, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Center for the Arts Gallery will be closed on December 24, 25, and from December 31 to January 1. From December 26 to 29, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

As the holiday season approaches, the City of Chandler is preparing for its annual closure of city offices and adjusted schedules for various services and facilities. Residents are advised to plan accordingly and make any necessary arrangements in advance.
