Tempe, AZ – In observance of Christmas and New Year’s, the City of Tempe will close all administrative offices on Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1. Find information on holiday shopping, events, sight-seeing and more at tempe.gov/holidays.  

EMERGENCY SERVICES 

Police and Fire services will be unaffected by the holidays.  

TEMPE 311 

Tempe 311, the city’s Customer Relations Center, will be closed both days. To fill out a service request form, visit tempe.gov/311.  

TEMPE CUSTOMER SERVICES 

Tempe Customer Services will be closed both days. For more information and to pay your bill online, visit tempe.gov/CustomerService.  

TEMPE MUNICIPAL COURT 

The court will be closed both days. To make a payment or view case information, visit tempe.gov/court. Phone payments can be made by calling 480-350-8800 or 1-877-729-2687. This Automated Payment System is unavailable nightly from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. 

TRANSPORTATION 

Bus and light rail services will operate on a regular schedule on Dec. 24 and 31. Bus and light rail services will operate according to a holiday schedule on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The Tempe Transit Store will be closed both days. For information, visit tempe.gov/TempeinMotion.  

On Dec. 31, light rail and Streetcar service will be extended until 2 a.m. Bus, rail and paratransit services will be free Valley-wide starting at 7 p.m., courtesy of Coors Light Free Rides. 

TRASH AND RECYCLING  

Tempe will not collect trash, recycling or green waste on Christmas Day and News Year’s Day. All collection will move one day later for the weeks of Christmas and New Year's. PARKS AND RECREATION  

•    Kiwanis Recreation Center, 6111 S. All-America Way (480-350-5201), will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1. The Kiwanis Tennis Center will also be closed.  

•    Kiwanis Park Batting Range will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1. The range will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 18-23 and Dec. 26-30. Regular hours will resume on Jan. 2. 

•    The Cloud at Kiwanis Park, Esquer Park Splash Pad, Paruqe de Soza Splash Pad, Jaycee Park Splash Pad, Escalante Pool and McClintock Pool are closed for the season.

LIBRARY AND CULTURAL CENTERS 

•    Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Road, will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1 (480-350-5500).  

•    Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave., will be closed Dec. 25, 31 and Jan. 1 (480-350-5100).  

•    Petersen House Museum, 1414 W. Southern Ave., will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1.  Please visit www.tempe.gov/museumhistorichouses for more information. (480-350-5100). 

•    Edna Vihel Arts Center, 3340 S. Rural Road, will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1.  (480-350-5287).

COMMUNITY CENTERS 

•    Pyle Adult Recreation Center, 655 E. Southern Ave. (480-350-5211), will be closed Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1. Pyle will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 18-29.  

•    Westside Community Center, 715 W. Fifth St. (480-858-2400) will be closed on Dec. 24-25, 31, and Jan. 1. The center will also close at 8 p.m. on Dec. 18-22, 26-29.  

•    North Tempe Multigenerational Center, 1555 N. Bridalwreath St. (480-858-6500) will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. The center will also close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 26-29. 

•    Escalante Community Center, 2150 E. Orange St. (480-350-5800), will be closed on Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan. 1. The center will also close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 18-22 and Dec. 26-29. 

•    Cahill Senior Center, 715 W. Fifth St. (480-858-2420), will be closed on Dec. 24-25, 31 and Jan 1. The center will also close at 8 p.m. on Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 2-6.
