CHANDLER, Ariz. — The City of Chandler's Golden Neighbors program is hosting a free event for residents aged 55 and older on Tuesday, Feb. 13. The event will take place at the city's Public Housing Youth Recreation Center, located at 73 S. Hamilton St. From 10:30 a.m. to noon, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a painting activity led by a passionate art volunteer. All levels of painting experience are welcome, and the necessary supplies will be provided. In addition, snacks will also be available.
To ensure a spot at the event, Chandler residents are encouraged to RSVP online before Feb. 7. Registration can also be done by calling 480-782-4362 or emailing Neighborhood Programs. The Golden Neighbors program was established as a means to connect senior residents with various services offered by the city and local nonprofits.
