Kingman Unified School District had the highest enrollment among Mohave County districts, welcoming 7,281 students during the 2023-24 academic year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 51.5% of them were boys, and 48.5% were girls.

Data also showed that the majority of students were white, representing 62.1% of the Kingman Unified School District total enrollment.

Among the 13 districts in Mohave County, Lake Havasu Unified District ranked second in enrollment numbers with 5,205 students, while Bullhead City School District welcomed 2,267 students and ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Kingman Unified School District roughly covers schools within Mohave County and has a main office in Kingman.

In the previous school year, Kingman Unified School District also had the highest number of students among Mohave County districts.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.

Additionally, WalletHub claimed Arizona's school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors' credentials.
