MCC Radiologic Technology application window now open

Mohave Community College issued the following announcement on Feb. 3.

Mohave Community College’s Radiologic Technology program application is now open. Students interested in the program have until June 30 to submit their application for the Fall 2022 semester.

The MCC Radiologic Technology program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Instructors help students perform diagnostic imaging to assist physician’s in accurately diagnosing diseases and injuries. 

“The program provides students with hands-on clinical experience and knowledgeable program and clinical instructors. Radiologic Technologists are a vital part of the medical field. This in-demand field offers competitive salaries, the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care, while working with new and innovative technology,” said Stacey Gilbert, MCC Radiologic Technology program director.

After completing the program, students are eligible to take the ARRT national registry exam. Radiologic technology graduates have had a 100% job placement rate since 2017.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, radiologic technologists can earn on average up to $64,840.

Devin Porter, a graduate of MCC’s Radiologic Technology program, said the college education and hands-on training prepared her to walk right into a career after graduation.

“In just two years you can graduate and start a great job making as much as people with a four-year degree, and I’m so excited that MCC has this program here and I tell everyone about it,” said Porter, who currently works at Western Arizona Regional Medical Center.
