MCC nursing and allied health program students honored at pinning ceremonies

Mohave Community College is honoring graduating students in the Nursing and Allied Health programs this week during their pinning ceremonies. Students are being celebrated for their accomplishments and being welcomed into their designated profession. A pinning ceremony is a traditional way of new incoming health professionals being welcomed into the profession. MCC faculty, staff and administration, alongside students’ family and friends, are there cheering them on. Stay tuned for the upcoming ceremonies. 

Nursing and Practical Nursing

Bullhead City Campus

Mohave Community College Nursing program hosted a pinning ceremony for graduating students on the Bullhead City campus. A pinning ceremony is a traditional way of new incoming nurses being welcomed into the nursing profession. The ceremony was for the Registered Nursing and Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program. Attendees were greeted by Dr. June Weiss, Director of Nursing and Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, MCC President. Kingman Campus

Surgical Technology

Six students have completed Mohave Community College’s Surgical Technology program. The students were celebrated with a pinning ceremony alongside family, friends, and MCC faculty, staff and administration. The ceremony was held Thursday morning. A pinning ceremony is a traditional way of new incoming surgical technology professionals being welcomed into the surgical technology profession. Attendees were greeted by Julie Clifford, Surgical Technology Program Director, Dr. Maria Ayon, LHC campus Dean of Student and Community Engagement and Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, MCC President. Physical Therapy Assistant

Mohave Community College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program held its pinning ceremony Thursday evening. Six students have completed the program and were celebrated alongside friends, family, and MCC staff, faculty and administration. A pinning ceremony is a traditional way of new incoming PTA professionals being welcomed into the physical therapy profession. Attendees were greeted by Dr. Elizabeth Briere, PTA Program Director, Dr. Maria Ayon, LHC campus Dean of Student and Community Engagement and Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, MCC President.
