Chandler, Arizona is gearing up for its 29th annual Multicultural Festival, which will take place on Saturday, January 13, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival, organized by Chandler's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division, aims to celebrate the cultural diversity within the city through a variety of activities and attractions.

At the Multicultural Festival, attendees will have the opportunity to experience live music, dance, art, and food from different cultures. The event will feature performances from a range of diverse performers, including Indigenous Enterprise, Lisa THEE' Oracle Hightower, Fushicho Daiko, and Yumi La Rosa Flamenco, among others. There will also be kids' activities to keep the younger attendees entertained.

In addition to the cultural performances, the festival will host a number of local businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations, providing attendees with the chance to learn more about the services and resources available in Chandler. There will also be unique cultural vendors selling merchandise, offering a chance to purchase items that showcase the diversity of the community.

This year's festival is proudly sponsored by Intel, a company that is committed to advancing diversity and representation in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) careers. During the event, Intel will announce its current cohort of grant awardees from its Equity in STEAM Initiative, which aims to support women and people of color in these fields.

In addition to the festival activities, the winners of the city's 2024 Creative Expression Competition will be announced on stage. The theme of this year's competition was "Creating a Community Where Differences are Embraced," and the winning artwork will be on display during the event.

Those interested in attending the festival can find the featured entertainment schedule, as well as a list of participating community organizations and food & merchandise vendors, on the Chandler Multicultural Festival website.
