Three-foot waves in an indoor, heated pool, ‘Thank you’ letters to Santa and hot cocoa and cookies.
Winter Waves are rolling in Dec. 27-30 from 1-5 p.m. at Kiwanis Recreation Center, 6111 S. All-America Way. Join in the merry with different theme days:
Wednesday, Dec. 27 | Ugly Sweater
Thursday, Dec. 28 | Throwback Thursday
Friday, Dec. 29 | Winter Olympics and Canned Food Drive
Saturday, Dec. 30 | New Year’s Eve Countdown
Admission is $5 for ages 2-12 and $7 for ages 13+, children under two are free. Tube rentals start at $5 and life jacket rentals are offered free of charge. The Snack Shack will be open for food and drink purchases. To make your visit more enjoyable, please be aware of the following safety rules:
- While in the pool, children seven years and under must be within arm’s reach of someone at least 16 years, with a ratio of one adult to four children, at all times.
- Only U.S. Coast Guard Type I, II, III Approved Life Jackets are permitted in the wave pool.
- No outside food is permitted in the pool area.
Grab a 20 token pass for the Kiwanis Park Batting Range for $20. Or pick up a lap/open swim, water fitness, fitness center or tennis center pass. Call the recreation center at 480-350-5201 for details.
