Mohave County issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
Only taxpayers in the Lake Havasu Unified School District (LHUSD #1) are affected by the following: The Class B Bond levy rate was incorrectly listed on the tax rate schedule provided to the Treasurer’s Office. The rate should have been listed on your 2021 Property Tax Statement as $0.2259, but was instead listed at $0.7333.
The Mohave County Treasurer’s Office is now working to issue corrected statements that will reflect a reduction in the bond levy rate, as well as, the calculated 2021 taxes. These corrected statements will describe the options for those who have already paid these 2021 taxes of either (a) seeking a refund, or (b) counting the additional amount paid as a prepayment of future taxes.
